ESL Classes

We provide ESL (English as a Second Language, also referred to as EL, English Learner) classes free of charge, to help native Spanish-speakers learn English as their second language.

Food Distribution

In partnership with local Latino grocery stores in Roanoke, we provide food to families each week, more than half of whom are children.

Mexican Consulate

3-4 visits to Casa Latina per year to provide consular services for Mexicans living in the Roanoke area and beyond: passports, consular IDs, and more.

Plazas Comunitarias

(Community Squares)

For all Spanish speakers, age 15 and older, whose education was interrupted, or for Spanish speakers enrolled in US schools who wish to receive official certification in Spanish. All coursework is in Spanish.

Part of our Family Wellness Initiative. Systematic Training for Effective Parenting through Casa Latina, Department of Social Services, and Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare.
